listnik@ilyav.netYour household
- Invite someone: Settings → Household → Invite Someone to Share gives a code. They enter it when they sign up, or with Join Another Household… in their own Settings → Household.
- What's shared: everything. The list, the meals, the meal plan, stores and categories belong to the household, and every member can change them.
- Leaving: Settings → Household → Leave Household starts you over with an empty list. The others keep this one; if nobody's left, it's deleted.
- Notifications: when someone else adds or crosses off groceries, adds or removes a meal on the plan, or adds a recipe, you get a notification, with its photo if it has one; your own changes never notify you. Choose which in Settings → Notifications. Tapping one opens that item, that meal on the plan, or the recipe.
The list
- Add items: type in the search field and tap what you need. Matches stay after you add one, so “pota” adds potatoes and potato chips with a tap each; tap a ticked one again to take it back off, or just type to search for something else. If nothing's called that, Add and Add as a One-Time Item appear; one-time items are deleted once they're crossed off.
- Cross off: tap an item, or double-tap if you chose that in Settings → Cross Off With (adding from Not on List or a search is always a single tap). Undo appears for a few seconds, and shaking the phone undoes too.
- Details: the ⓘ button on a row opens its category, stores, notes and photo.
Stores and aisle order
- Aisle order: Settings → Stores & Aisle Order. Each store has its own order of categories; the list follows it when that store is picked.
- Pick a store: the store button at the top of Groceries. Its items stand out on the list; "Only [store] Items" hides the others.
- Auto-Select Store: turn it on in Settings and allow location while using the app. Listnik picks a store when you're within about 150 m of it while the app is open, and opening Listnik somewhere else goes back to All Stores. Stores need a location for this (Save Location Here in the store menu, or in the store's settings).
Sync
Changes reach the other phones in your household within a second or two while they're online. Offline, the app saves your changes and sends them in order when it's back. If a phone ever looks out of date, tap Sync Now in Settings.
Listnik Plus
Someone in my household bought Plus, but I don't have it
Plus belongs to the household. Make sure you're in the same household (Settings → Household lists its members), then tap Sync Now in Settings. The person who bought it can tap Restore Purchases if it still doesn't show.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Recipes from posts
In Instagram, Facebook or Safari, tap Share → Listnik. The app opens a New Meal with the recipe filled in for you to check before saving. If the recipe is only in the comments, paste its text into the sheet. Private posts and TikTok can't be read.
The API
Create a token in Settings → API Tokens & Devices (read-only, or with Allow changes on). Every request needs Authorization: Bearer lsk_…. The server's /llms.txt explains the API to AI assistants, and /openapi/v1.json is the full schema.
Deleting your account
In the app, Settings → Delete Account. If you're the last member of your household, its list, meals and plan go too. The privacy policy explains what's deleted and when. If you can't open the app, email listnik@ilyav.net.
